Tara Nicholas : This is such a beautiful poem. The imagery made me cry. The words filled my eyes with the scenery and I imagined myself there under the sun tasting the salt and fruit (I thought strawberries), smelling the air and sea,

Tara Nicholas : Thanks for sharing. There is definitely something here, it just seemed too remote for complete understanding.
The poem lacked details that would help me better understand the content/context of what was happening. The purpose behind this relationship. If it was a mutual relationship, if there was something sinister happening. (This is what I thought at first but at the end she appears to embrace and twist the tables on the he in the story.)
I did like the repeated imagery of "As I look into her eyes,..." that was very effective and helped move the lines along but the sections were to sparce for total enjoyment. You may have cut too much from the bones and didn't leave any meat for the reader to chew on.
I hope this was the type of feedback you were looking for. You clearly have an interesting style and I would like to read more. Thanks. (29-Dec-08)
