Brief Synopsis
An LA detective and a mysterious woman meet in an Arizona ravine. One seeks absolution, the other revenge. The canyon provides an unorthodox route to their goals. In the end, both get what they came for, but only one leaves the canyon alive.

Author Notes
The setting and male character came out of a dream I woke from and actually remembered.

Mercy Manic : I liked it! Needs an edit for clarififcation on how events happened w/ Selena. Great use of imagery and metaphor, and a snappy ending too. (28-Oct-06)
Author Reply: "Thanks. So glad you enjoyed! I edited down the Selena events on advice from several other readers. The story used to include a lengthy flashback that detailed the John / Selena story. Deciding what to include and what to delete is a challenge." (29-Oct-06)
