Brief Synopsis
A race is assaulted by an unknown force. Only She can save them, but at what cost?
Author Notes
I wrote this story because I wanted to show the relationship between Mila and her adopted extended family. It was also to introduce a race known as Shaks and a storyline for an adventure I was going to run for my group. I hope you enjoy it.

Part of this Series: The Mila Chronicles
Synopsis: Mila is a character I've been playing in a role-playing group since 2000.

Reviews

A.C. Millicent : Yay! I liked it a lot! I feel like I already know some about your characters. I felt their emotions. I enjoyed your descriptive use of language. I'm horrible at writing reviews, but I know I liked it. Kitties ROCK! (18-Mar-07)
Sandy Lulay : WOW! Very fast paced. I hope you are planning to write more for us. Now that you have caught our attend give us more!!! This seemed like the start of a great book. (27-Sep-06)
Author Reply: "Thanks for the review. I do have more stories with Mila, and a fair number with the unknown creatures that were attacking them. That storyline is actually the genesis for a short novel I'd like to finish one day. 8^) The lives of the Shaks and Robin are far from over (or uneventful) as they moved west into the US. When I get some time I'll put up something else in this series. Glad you enjoyed it." (27-Sep-06)
